We have a Briggs and Stratton petrol mower which starts OK and runs perfectly for a while then after a short while of grass cutting it cuts out, does anybody out there know what could be wrong? We have topped up the petrol and oil, so it isn't that.

It is also possible that something is floating about in the petrol tank and it gradually settles to the bottom to block the petrol outlet hole???
I know someone who had this trouble, and they got out the old push mower, and put it side by side with the petrol mower. They told the petrol mower if it did not start it would have the shame of being replaced by the push mower. It started the very next try.

True story!
