how can i separate two pieces of wood stuck together using indrustal strength glue?
24 Answers
I've just spent the last two hours using a hammer and screw driver to try nd do this and it's not working. The two pieces of wood are stuck together to the floor in the space where my washing machine goes. I need to unstick them so i can put my new washing machine there but i can only get full access to one side and i only have about 15 cm of space around the other three sides. any ideas no matter what are really welcome, thankyou xx

You could try a hacksaw or a coping saw with the blade set at 90 degrees to the frame . 15cm space will give you just about enough room to work in . Get the saw as close as possible to the floor and saw all along the length of the wood .This will leave you with a residue between 0.5 and 1 cm high . Hopefully you will be able to push the washing machine over this .
thankyou for all your answers, i don't think i explained it very well as it's two bits of wood stuck together that are then stuck to the floor board. I tried using a saw and after 2 mins the blade snapped off and is not jammed inside the two bits of wood!! lol!! The feather splitter thing sounds good though, i'll give that a go in a few days. it's not so bad now though, i was really upset last night as my kitchen is tiny but i've manged to reposition it so it's not so much in the way. I haven't got any big strong men in my life right now, believe me if i had i wouldn;t be asking on here :-(
