the picture on my plants label (ficus, is what it says) is the one i have but when i look it up on internet sites all i can find are the weepling fig variety and it is definately nothing like it as i have one of those, mine is upright with long thin leaves a bit like a palm, but its starting to get problems, its got brown/yellowing spots on it and also the ends of the leaves are brown so its maybe been under or over watered but dont know which, so any help in identifying would be great

Try putting Rubber Plant into Google Images.
Does your plant lokk like any of the photos.
The traditional rubber plant is, I believe, Ficus Elastica.
Don't know if the link will work but sounds like Ficus longifolia

so does anyone know what i am doing wrong with it, am i overwatering it because of the condition of the leaves or has it got a disease and i need to buy something to spray on it, if so what, thanx in advance
Ends of leaves brown usually a humidity problem... stand it on a tray of pebbles and keep that wet the brown bits are not fixable but you can stop more appearing also make sure it isn't in a draught or direct sunlight ficus are rainforest plants and grow in the shade of a jungle floor
