I planted a nectarine stone, but I did not crack the stone. Will it still grow ?

There's quite a bit of advice on 'nectarine from seed' on Google, some of it straightforward, some more complex. Remember that some of the advice might refer to a warmer part of the US climate. But, yes, you have to break open the stone. Good luck!!
Did that once here in the western U.S. But, (to expand on heathfield's) not only do you have to "crack" the stone, you have to (very carefully) remove the seed (looks a lot like and almond). This is what you would use to grow the plant rather than the "pit"...
