disposing of unwanted knives

Hi, i just bought some new kitchen knives and want to get rid of the old crap ones. Where?

you can just tip them in with your recycling but why throw them out unless you're really stuck for space? You never know when you'll need them - think about that time (that *will* happen the day after you toss them) when you'll need to get dog dirt out of the sole of a pair of boots

no, i really don't want to keep them - i have a drawer full of kitchen knives. Can you really put them in recycling? Isn't it a bit dangerous?

I doubt you can put them in your recycling! Take them to the tip, but wrap the blades securely in cardboard first, and put them in the scrap metal bin.

I take them to the tip and put them in the bin for metals
