Steam cleaners

Nobody likes the job of cleaning the inside of an oven and the wire shelves. Are the small, hand held, steam cleaners up to the job and if so what is the best available?

malana, no they are not up to the job of hard baked on oven stains malana. O.k for the grooves where you get fat deposits ect..

Clean? Oven? In the Same sentence? Does not compute! (I've owned my cooker for 20 years and, despite good intentions, I've never cleaned the oven yet!).
