Anyone tried growing peppers with the seeds out of the sweet peppers that you buy in the shops? I know its the wrong time of year but I have been collecting seeds from things growing in my garden ready for next year and wondered if it would work. I guess they would only grow in a greenhouse in this country.

Not sure if they do cavalier or roundhead varieties, though!

Yes - you can germinate them on a warm windowsill, then put them out in the garden next summer.
...and even if the peppers don't grow very big, they are attractive little plants!
or a propagator like this.

Childish
What? Growing amusing fruit and vegetables?
They make gardening amusing (Tho not in your neck of the woods, of course)
Yes sweet peppers are quite easy to grow. I have a beautiful chilli pepper plant in the back room it has eight red chillis on it and more to come. They are extremely hot and we don't like them. I am looking to offload it on to someone who does.
Er.. I've just seen the Peter thingy peppers, mine are not like that lol.
Made me laugh :-)
