I would say it is....It has been for the last two winters, but I actually prefer it. I have a gas fire in the living room...underfloor heating in the kitchen and electric blankets.

I'd be interested to see what our meter readings are. I haven't sent one in for the last couple of years because I knew our gas usage had gone down considerably.

No. It is temperamental, sometimes it will come on, others not. I'll have to spend £40+ later this week to have someone have a look at it.

We have an immersion so have hot water. If it was a combi I'd make sure it was fixed....

my boiler is ancient and probably not very efficient, but it's gotta be cheaper than replacing it for no other reason. I know the parts are no longer available, but it's always been very reliable.

my electrics were condemned a few years ago, had to have the whole house re-wired :o/
