I have a Baxi gas fire. At the back behind the artificial coals, it has a Polystyrene type of liner which has broken.

what is the liner called (which is not around the sides) only a back panel (225mmx220mm) Is it polystyrene that has been fireproofed and where can I get a replacement from? Fire is about 10 years old and regularly serviced

The panels are NOT polystyrene ..they are a fibrous material (like a lightweight asbestos equivalent) that is very heat insulative.
Many fires and stoves use it.
I would probably buy this and cut to size .. it's the right sort of stuff you need.
