I need to get rid of a cast iron bath (not free standing or roll top) can I get anything for the iron value.

Don't think it will be worth much. Just leave it on the end of your drive, I'm sure the scrap men will take it.
yes scrap is at an all time high. But iron still isn't much per ton but if you can get it down there and weigh it in you should get something.
Looking at this you should get £160-170 per ton

any idea what it weighs?
I always do what carrust said as I am too lazy to take it to the scrap merchants myself. It disappears like magic.
However, my daughter took some scrap to the merchant the other day and was most surprised to get £350 - she hurried away with her loot convinced they had put the decimal point in the wrong place. It could be worth while.
Not for a CI bath it won't.
We never leave anything like that at the end of our drive!
Wouldnt want the gipsy van round picking it up in his lorry
Yeah ... He'll be up your drive rummaging around too.
Put some wheels and an engine on it and take it for a spin to Bath.
