Electric cooker problem
8 Answers
I have a built-in Stoves Newhome cooker (oven and hob).
The timer/clock doesn't work, except for making intermittent, loud, piercing 'beeps', so I've given up using the oven and try to make do with the hob.
I found Stoves plc on the internet and filled in an on-line form requesting attention, but when I clicked to send all it did was revert to a similar blank form. I've also enquired locally but so far without success. Can anyone help with experience or advice please?

Chris, I'm having this problem with Royal Mail at the moment. Gone are the days when you could just pick up a phone to speak to someone. Instead you get that many options you start to forget what you were phoning about, but then you realise that none of the options are what you want. Have lost count of the different numbers I phoned this morning and didn't get to speak to anyone.I honestly believe there is no longer anyone who actually answers a phone.
You say you have enquired locally. Was it a shop that sells your make of cooker, perhaps Curry's? They should really be able to give you a number to phone but don't hold your breath.
Good luck.

BEDNOBS, the reason I stopped using the oven was because of the loud piercing 'beeps' that kept coming from the useless timer. CATH, unfortunately it's several years old and not under guarantee. The shop it came from isn't in business any more. CHRIS, I'll have another look at that website. I tried to book an engineer, but the system wouldn't 'Send' the completed form. MISSPRIM makes a good point, but it looks as though I shall have to try phoning. Thank you all for your replies.
I'm sorry Coldicote I got a bit mixed up here (doesn't take much!) and I thought Chris had posted this and I thought he had tried phoning Stoves and was unable to speak to someone, this is why I mentioned the problem I'm having trying to get hold of Royal Mail.
So do what Chris suggests and phone Customer Services on Monday but if you get nowhere with that then go with my suggestion of calling in Curry's or similar.
