Buildings have been taken down and am left with a roof of slate tiles with jagged edges. Want to make this flush. Any ideas?

How come there's still a roof if the building has been taken down?
Special building : )

I work quite a bit with slate .. in fact I've been chopping some slates to repair a roof for someone this week.
Any overshot slate roofing usually discharges into guttering or a gully ..
Can you explain better with more detail?
Forecast has just been on with wind gusts up to 60 mph here in the SW - and more rain - yuck....
Any chance of a pic, Ros?

Hi Thanks . they were outbuildings but most have been taken down. Thus, the slates do not go into a guttering.
No pics but could be arranged
