For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.i work in local government, and there is no legislation controlling the time when people must stop making noise for whatever reason. if you contact your council, they will just ask you to fill out some logsheets when the noise is occurring to see if it is frequent enough to serve a Noise Abatement Order. If they think it is happening enough, they may install noise monitoring equipment in your property to use in court if needs be. I'd have a word with your local Environmental Protection department to see what their procedure is, but I've a feeling it is the same for all councils.
