Just went to get some peas out of my freezer and have seen that they are defrosting. I tested other things in the freezer and they are also defrosting.

The fridge is working fine and the interior light is on.

What has happened and is it easily fixable please? Thanks.

I am afraid I can't help. I just hope someone will see this and look in.
Is the fridge freezer in a cold room or garage as they don't work very well in cold temperatures
Question Author
It's in the Utility Room which has no heating but is certailnly not icy cold.
I would agree with jg96, we have a small greenhouse heater in the garage where we have a fridge freezer. It's just to take the chill out of the air as we had a problem withour freezer a couple of years ago and even got as far as ordering a new one. A few days later the weather warmed up a bit and it started working again. It's been fine since we've had the heater it only clicks in when the temp drops really low and we recon the few pence a day it costs to run far outweighs the costs of restocking a full freezer.
check thermostat clicks when you adjust it?

if not, you may need a new one!

The temperature is 38 degrees F. Is that too cold?
At 3C- yes, probably. Could you bring the temperature up a bit with a fan heater or similar and see if it starts up properly?
Sounds like thermostat trouble to me. Get a man that knows to have a look.
