Sorry this is probably not the right section, please could someone help me....I have been given a price of £2.20 for a 1lb bag of nuts and I need to know how much the nuts are per kilo. I have no idea how to work this out. :o(
Windy, my old and very cheap mobile has a conversion prog on it. ibs to kilos and inches to cms. Have a look and see if yours has one. Sorry I am assuming that you have one. dtc)
I do have a mobile but it's very basic and the blooming thing is always out of battery because I forget to plug it in and charge it up.
Guess there's no hope for me really, old age is getting a grip. Thanks heaps to you guys (and girls) for coming to my assistance. What a great site this is. xxx
If it helps, a pound is half a kilo, for all everyday, practical, purposes e.g at a sweetshop or delicatessen counter. Indeed, the French still sometimes call 500gms a 'livre', literally a 'pound'. Old habits die hard; in their case, over 200 years!
1 Kilo is 2.2lb.....2lb = £4.40 plus 1/5 of £2.20 =44p....1 Kilo = £4.84 Simples! (I went to Arley Herbert Fowler Secondry Modern school) (I put that in just in case Iv'e got it wrong)....
