Is there a website that you can access that will tell you how much a property has been sold for, I seem to remember reading about one a few months ago?

Aw for goodness sake! Yet more synchrography!
I'm beginning to wonder whether my computer is somehow not showing responses which are already there when I first open an answer-page. Is this possible? All I can tell for sure is that I seem to be posting simultaneously - as far a I'm concerned - far too often.

QM - I don't really exist. Myself and others here are actually AB bots which intercept your posts, rewrite them using our suspect syntax and spelling and then submit them nanoseconds before we resubmit your answer. Our mission, to see how long it takes before you crack.

I suspect a stress fracture forming at this very moment  ;)

I was actually after a site where you could access the prices of houses that had already been sold, but thanks anyway!
That's what the site is for - input a postcode or address and it lists all sales for the past five years.

My apologies kempie, seems the property I'm looking for has only just been sold, so it's not on the website yet!
Question Author
Why do you have to keep on inputting a code everytime you do a search though?
I think it's to stop other sites from being able to do automatic searches via hotlinking, which would tie-up the bandwidth available to us poor punters.
Question Author
Oh right cheers for that, shame it only goes back 5 years though...

I was beginning to suspect as much, Kempie! I don't know how much longer I can take this pressure.

Seriously, though, do you know whether the situation I suggested is technically possible? I ask, because I am a total computer illiterate. In other words, I sometimes wonder whether the answer that appears on a - seemingly - heretofore blank page immediately above my answer might actually have been there for hours!

Thanks kazza 12345, but it seems you have to pay for this service, does anyone know of any FREE websites that provide this type of information?

Sorry, stupid computer...

Anyway, the site above also does 'sold prices' and for free but again, they only go back 5 years.  I think this could be because the Land Registry has only just made this info available and only the last 5 years?

Also the info for this year is not completely upto date yet, there is a bit of a delay in getting the info on the sites.

Thanks anyway Sammy Snake!
