Kitchen water heaters

If I need hot water at my kitchen sink I have to wait ages for it to come through the pipework from a hot water tank in the airing cupboard. This, regrettably, can mean letting cold water go to waste before the hot water arrives. Is there a compact water heater that can be fitted reasonably near to the kitchen tap? Thanks for suggestions.

You can get these type of taps now....so no need for a kettle.

Yes many different types.
We've got one under the kitchen sink at work (our only source of hot water). Ours is fairly small although I'm sure you could get different sizes but it takes up a lot of room under the sink and you don't get enough hot to fill a washing up bowl. I'd think one of the taps Ummmm mentioned might be a better option.
at £400 a pop for one of those taps I'd just collect the cold water and water the plants with it
Have a look at these, Colders .................

Thank you all very much for these interesting references and I'll explore them further. I believe many people are in a similar situation to myself with 'old fashioned' plumbing!
I have the same thing but simply put the cold hot water in to my water butts for watering the garden.
You could also use it for the toilet cistern.
I used to collect the water in a bowl and use it on the garden. We've now got a Quooker and no longer have the problem.
