The chips have been down for at least 5 years, sitting on top of a membrane.Ideally I would like to grow fruit/vegetables in this area (20m2) approx.

might use up a lot of nitrogen when breaking down better to rake them off, and pile in a corner with a generous dose of an accellerator like Garotta and some other compostables or use as a mulch around things like rhubarb
