KEEPING SQUIRRELS OFF PLANTS

I have just put new plants in tubs and the squirrels are digging them up. I have put grated soap on the soil as I read this was a ditterent but it isn't stopping them. Has anyone any suggestions. Thanks.

Broken mothballs will keep most things away, but need renewing after heavy rain.
Have you tried lots of broken eggshells ? The squirrels might not want to risk cutting their feet.
pot toppings work cover the surface of your tubs with stones marbles coloured glass broken cockle shells gravel etc all avilable at your local garden centre or pound shop
I'm with Chuck.....
Pepper, pepper, pepper, lots of it!
I use an air rifle, they are rodents. Grey ones only
provide a distraction a large dish of food tends to work
