Amaryrllis - another question
8 Answers
Rowanwitch helped me last time but dont know if she is about.
Amaryllis that was almost dead - have followed her advice and now has 3 bright green leaves, two are about 8/9 inches long and one is over a foot long. Longer leave is flopping down as is so long so am supporting it with a little stick. Question is it has no flower stem, just these leaves, so do I just leave it now and see what happens??

In the autumn when it gets cooler stop the watering and let the leaves dry off and let the pot dry completely. Store in a cool place. In the spring start watering and put in a warm sunny place to start it growing again. It may not flower then, but just do the same thing every year, grow all summer rest in the winter and it will gather strength and flower again. keep it potbound.
