Stapling chipboard to rafters

What sort of stapler is best for attaching 3 or 4mm chipboard to rafters? The one I use seems incapable of attaching it firmly.

Showing my ignorance, not chipboard but hardboard.
Just finished lining a workshop with oriented strand board (OSB here in the U.S.)( seen here: http://www.123rf.com/...d-mdf-background.html ) which was 1/4 inch in thickness (maybe 6 to 7mm?) and found that decking screws about 1/2 to 3/4 inches worked best. Even then, one needs to be careful when cutting the joints to center each board on its rafter exactly 1/2 to have enough board to screw into...
I think you'd really need one like this pdq.............

That's quite a thickness for anything in the realm of diy. I would go with Clanad's method............ and a cordless drill/screwdriver.
