Towels Too Fluffy!!

Recently bought some dark blue bath sheets. They are gorgeous but they keep shedding blue fluff everywhere! Been washed several times but whenever we use them the bathroom disappears under a film of light blue fluff!!

Have you tumble-dried them? that should sort it.

Tumble dried and line dried - still got the problem!
I had to get rid of my dark blue towels because whatever I did they would never stop shedding. I think that part of it is that the blue shows up more than other colours.
were they good towels from a reputable store? I'd take them back, if so.
6 to 10 washes and tumbled drying the more the better. sorry there is no short cut.
arwyn, 6 months of washes never sorted mine. they were very good quality.

they are from Sainsbury. Will just have to put up with it then!
Take them back. Not fit for purpose.
blue navel fluff- nice, when it goes south, not so nice, gets stuck between the teeth.....

Are you using fabric conditioner on the towels? If so, don't - it makes the fibres slippery, which leads to fibre loss, especially in a tumble dryer.
I have the same problem but I don't have a tumble drier. Any other ways to stop this happening? TIA
My new ones did it as did the MIL's, it took months of washing and tumbling till it stopped completely, sorry.
