Misted up

a double glazed winow unit.Have seen adverts by companies who say they can de-mist---anyone tried it -- does it work , or would I be better to get a new pane? All advice gratefully received.

New pane would be best brenda, if they have started to mist up on the inside then the seals have probably started to fail.

Don't get confused brenda, it is to do with a thread yesterday about a radio play involving ab'ers and I volunteered for the role of village plumber, just having a bit of a laugh, nothing malicious brenda.

Probably cheaper to buy a new unit rather than have the existing one demisted so to speak, I have just changed three units and was surprised how cheap they we're, took the guy just over an hour to change them.

Agree with KJN. I had a misted up dg window recently and it didn't take the bloke long to replace one pane of glass at all. Can't remember what it cost, but I know it wasn't a fortune !
