Has anyone any experience of these. Are they better than using a tray and dipping the paint roller in it. Have a large room to do and wondered if it might be easier with one of them.

Thanks.

Recently bought one from Amazon for £27.99. Good value and Mr BD very happy with it. Easy to use.

Yes I saw that one on Amazon BD, thought it was good value, although I understand the paint is quite expensive for them. Still at least I will not be dripping paint everything. Thanks.
Just a suggestion as I am not a DIYer but maybe once you've bought the first lot of paint you may be able to wash out the containers and use them again with some other paint. Don't know if it would work if the paint was a different consistency but worth a try. Might be worth checking on the guarantee if a different paint was used though. Good luck.
If they were all that good, professional painters and decorators would use them. They don't!
I was told they were a complete rip off and use way more paint.

Ah thanks for your comments, I have walls that are not easy to emulsion and seem to absorb so much paint, I tend to water the paint down anyway. Perhaps best leave it then and get myself a better roller and lots of floor cloths.
Gimmick and I was told to never use them. Old ways are the best apparently! That's coming from a decorator!
I can only pass on hearsay for I've never used one, but the word was that you can't use any paint in it and are tied into the Dulux product. Personally it han't appealed to me that risk, that it mightn't be a universal paint tool.
We have one and it's brilliant, however.... the paint is expensive and seems to go a long way but no other paint works in it. All of our ceilings are white so that works out quite well.
