Ways to save water? when on a water meter.

Right so i had my water meter fitted yesterday, any ideas how i can save water.

LadyBirder, I used to be concerned about the quantity of water being wasted while waiting for the running water (from the tank in the loft) to get hot enough to wash with, so I now used the electric shower head (which is over the bath next to the wash basin) and you get all the hot water you want very quickly without wasting any.
Just thought you might be interested in an idea i use. The water that is collected in bottles from "waiting for the heat" is used to soak dirty dishes that I wont wash straight away. Eg when dishing up a meal, i empty the saucepan and then put some soaking water in. it saves loads of scrubbing when i wash up later. I used to use it to soak nappies but dont need to do that any more. Our bill changed from £40 per month to £25 when we went on the meter (family of 4).
