Cleaning Wooden Extractor Hood
2 Answers
Years ago mum had a fitted wooden kitchen. The extractor fan has a wooden "cupboard style door" front on it. Over the years it has accumulated deposits of grease, (tho due to to colour of the wood this went largely undetected). It has now gone really quite sticky. If you scratch at the deposits with a fingernail/ piece of plastic, it does come off but this would be such a huge job! Mum is adamant that water should not be used on it as the wood underneath is stained and polished/treated. Any suggestions as to what I should try? All help much appreciated.
Many thanks in advance.
