In my loft I've got water seeping in between the bricks in the chimney breast and also a bit further along through a false beam. It's just drips but should I call someone in or use a sealant of some sort? The same thing happened last year and my ex used sealant. any advice please?

As the wall (eventually ) dries out, it'll probably go. It would be a good idea to investigate in better weather. Sealant only as a desperate resort. You may well be able to see where it's getting in, with a good poke around.

Thanks a lot TB, Looking at the bricks today, the leaking didn't seem too bad but the rain wasn't as heavy. I wont use sealant then and will get someone in to have a good look when the weather gets better. Thanks again.
