outside decking ?

we have fairly new outside decking,because of the recent frosty mornings , it has become quite slippery, would it damage the wood by putting salt on it ? TIA

Salt can't do anything to the structure of the wood - think wooden rowing boats. I'd say salt it and be confident.

I've used salt on my wooden decking before with no problems. Don't forget that the decking will not dry out as quickly though.
