Well played Scottish Power and congratulations on your planning! Good idea it was to email a million customers early doors on a Saturday to tell them you'd upped their direct debits by almost 50%....you would never ever ever in the 21st century have imagined your website would then crash and fall spinning to the ground in a heap.

Hopefully all your customers will do what we did, namely telephone the number on the email and find the direct debit is then miraculously reduced to LESS THAN IT WAS BEFORE.

You have it to do.

I just love this sort of garbage...why on earth if they sell power would they want you to use less of their product by saving energy ?!

if all their customers reduced their usage they will use some paltry excuse to put their prices up to maintan earnings
