Does anyone know of any products you can buy that helps to make scratches on silver plated items less noticable?  Thanks.

yes, I bought a thing for holding fruit with a flowervase in the middle (?epergne), nice shape, not damaged but with about 50% of the plate polished off down to the copper. It cost me 2 quid in a junk shop I am gradually restoring it (its hard work polishing) its now about 80% replated and you can't see the joins
