Lemon Juice
Sticky Stuff Remover from Lakeland ( and other outlets too, probably)
A friend of mine swears by Sticky Stuff remover from Lakeland. It`s not cheap - £3.99 but worth it if it works.
Nail polish remover
If lemon juice doesn't work try a can of Sticky Stuff Remover.
The king of sticky stuff removers is called Sticky stuff remover and is available online or in shops. Other things that can work meths, WD40, baby oilAcetone can work too but be very very careful using acetone on acrylic or plastics cos it can melt them.
I think you`ve got your answer :-)

Not near a Lakeland store, and dare not try nail polish remover but have WD 40 so that is what i shall try. Thanks all !
isopropyl alcohol shifts most sticky residues. Maplins sells it.
You could always try a product called Astonish I used it to get some marks off an acrylic bath, of maybe Barkeepers Friend - they should be available in supermarkets of failing that a hardware shop
Be careful with barkeepers friend its very abrasive indeed.
