The weather so miserable and I have been on this site for quite a while - I gotta get some housework done and my God can't face it - hoovering - washing - putting away clothes - iron for tomorrow YUK will wait another wee while - a thing I have been saying all day hahhaha
No, No, you will definitely not be standing for hours at all - one or two swipes and that is it done. When my neighbour was sick - I done all the kiddies ironing in about half an hour.
Hi Conne, just noticed your post. I wouldn't be without mine, I love it.
The only negative I can think of is that you have to use de-ironised water, and that can become expensive. Worth it though. I get through the ironing at record speed.
I say I don't iron, but we've got a press, when I have to iron it only takes a couple of minutes. Couldn't be doing with someone else tidying up my stuff, though.
You should see the state of our kettle before I descale it, Conne. It's horrible.
I did bu88er up my last steam generator (Philips) by putting a few drops of essential oil in the water. The makers tell you not to add anything but I very foolishly ignored it. It was an expensive mistake.
Boxy, before the Philips steam generator, I had a steam press. I liked it but when it packed up, my sis was singing the praises of the steam generator, so I relaced it with the one she recommended.
I quite liked the press though. Can't remember the name of it, but I do remember it had something called a Vap-o-Jet that slotted onto the handle, to spray the clothes with.
