Dahlias

My dahlias show no signs of flowering this year, just masses of green leaves.  They are grown in a pot and normally give a lovely display every summer.  Any ideas why this has happened?

Mine show no signs of flowering yet- I am putting it down to the lack of summer we have had and expect them to flower in August some time
