Is there any sort of rule of thumb on how much paint you need based on the size of the wall?

I'm going to use a roller mostly.
I just wanted to try and be specific because Dulux paints are 3 for 2 at the moment and I need two different colours (one colour is for a room not factored into the above sums) so it would save me a few quid if I knew I was going to need a total of three tins but I don't want to end up with a spare tin of pain I have no use for.
