Can I mix water with it? it's vinyl emulsion.

Look on the side of the tin. It usually says there if the paint can be thinned with anything.

but if it is B & Q's super dooper economy ownbrand(or similar) you will find theres any amount of diluting already

I can read the small print and the print I can read doesn't say. Canary, why didn't I think of that? i'll do that, I'll try a small bit.
Gran, some paint when mixed with water don't dry. Remember to test for drying time.

It has to dry sometime Society. Canary, the sample looked alright and it went on really well.
See what it says on the tin about cleaning brushes, etc. If you can clean them with water, you can dilute the paint.
Why are you watering it down..?

The only reason you would dilute emulsion would be to apply it to a newly plastered surface, or on unpainted plasterboards where a base coat will act as a sealer.
^ "Trade" paints are generally thicker than ordinary versions, so that decorators can thin them to a preferred consistency.
