Has anyone got one of these? Are they heavy? How long do they stay charged for? I want something fairly light to do the ordinary vacuuming, but specifically my stairs, which have quite a narrow tread.

Hi I bought one 4 weeks ago from Argos when they were on offer and had the tools free with it . You could take advantage of the £10 off for goods over £100.this week I had thought about one for ages but the price put me off. I do not keep mine on charge all the time but I can do downstairs lounge kitchen and diningroom every day for approx 7 days also 2 mornings upstairs. Ideal for stairs. No problem if you keep it on charge all the time. I live on my own so only need to use it once daily. When the battery is down you don't get a warning it just cuts off. But suction is excellent.

I have just looked they are still the same reduced from £259 TO £229 that is a saving of £30 plus £10 voucher offer and you get the free tools which are excellent. That is the one I have.

Evian I have to hoover every day I have 2 birds that scatter seeds in the dining room. Sometimes don't do Lounge. lol. Also I would like to point out the only difference with this one and the next price up about £275 is that the dearer one has a battery warning light on it and it has a 20 min run time compared to 15 with the one I have at £229. which will do the job just the same

Thanks very much Wendilla, that sound just what I'm looking for, and the price seems reasonable too. My dog is moulting like crazy at present, and my carpets are taking on a mohair appearance! So I really should be vacuuming every day.

Ive also been thinking about getting one of those for ages - I have a bad back and thats the main reason why.

They are great Smowball. Powerful and you could run upstairs with it in one hand the hoover I mean lol lol .

Seriously, it would make my life a whole lot easier, especially as we have 3 floors! ( sons bedroom is the loft. Not literally - he isnt stuffed up there with a load of old suitcases!!)

i dont rate dysons i always buy vax and have never had any complaints with that brand...

Everyone have their preferences Dollie. My other Hovver is a Dyson and I have had that for 8 years and still as powerful but just don't want to carry it upstairs anymore. I do have the vax carpet cleaner which is excellent.
