 There are special paints for the windows to act as shading,but would I be able to use normal emulsion watered down to do the same job.?

I am not 100% sure on this, but I believe that the special paints are just like a white wash type thing which will wash off when no longer needed. I think with watered down emulsion, once it had dried and been baked on by the sun, it wouldn't wash off and you would need to put in a lot of time and effort to scrape all the emulsion off, and probably damage the glass in the process
