My garden borders have been colonised by what looks like wild garlic plants.
The little white bell like flowers are lovely but the long green leaves have smothered everything around them.
Anyone have an idea of how I can get rid of these intruders?
These plants don't have wide leaves leaves like the images I have seen of wild garlic, but smell intensely of garlic. The leaves are more line daffodils.
They grow from bulbs and there are thousands of them in my soil.
Last year I dug out buckets full but this year they are back in even greater volume. So I obviously didn't get them all.
Also known as 3 Corned Leek. Apparently the seeds have an oily coating which Ants like: they take the seeds away to eat the oil and thus the seed spreads.
