I think it is Forsythia,I have one ,mine is more like a big bush, and goes all yellow in early Spring..don`t look like flowers, more like bright yellow leaves, very bright and cheerful. Laburnum usually flowers in May and has beautiful hanging yellow bunches of flowers(bit like tassels) and are ofter trained over a arched "tunnel"...really spectacular.

My garden is wild too...literally..full of poppies which have accumalated over the years,..also buttercups and other wild flowers..umm .might be weeds but have pretty liitle purple flowers.
Oh and loads of Star of Bethlehem too, have to keep an eye on these as they really do spread like wildfire...yes...wild is certainly it.!!!
