Just come back from a month away and find that we have a bee colony in our loft. We had wasps here a couple of years ago and called out a pest controller. Obviously I don't want to do that with bees but is the a way of getting a swarm moved?

Is it just a swarm or a nest, the best thing to do would be to contact a bee keeper they will sometimes remove the lot, they want the bees, I'm not sure these days though with the situation with the veroa mite.

The ideal situation considering the plight of bees would be to just leave them alone, I know not always possible but generally speaking if you leave them alone they will return the favour.
Contact your local Beekeepers Association, they will help you.
