Has anyone signed up to this? What are your opinions on it so far? I got the hard sell yesterday when I bought breakdown cover and I`m not interested but I thought it might be useful for my Mum.

No experience of this service, but there are lots of people offering these "home emergency" services. There are lots of different levels of cover at wildly differing premiums.
Did use the Direct Line service for a while -- seemed well-priced.
