My electric shower works but i am not getting any hot water. The red light which indicates that the thermastat is on is off. The water is running and the mains is switched on. What could be wrong?

Could the pilot light have gone out on your boiler?

Have you checked the circuit breaker ? Most showers these days will not pass even cold water without power. No red light suggests no power.

So, assuming it has power, sounds like the element may have blown. Hardly worth replacing if so, as the parts will cost almost as much as a new shower.

If it is aTriton it has a poor record of burning out the cableing inside due to poor spade connections do you know a competent diyer.

Cheers Guys. It is a RedRing Active 320 electric shower. Water is coming out. But no red light meaning no heating of the water!! Needs more investigating i think
