Is there a way to have your existing double glazing reset in some way? A few of our units have condensation inside. Does this mean they are less efficient, and what options might we have for repairing as opposed to replacing?

In my old house, the living room and kitchen windows were blown.

Rather than replacing the whole window, I ordered just the double glazing window glass bit (if you now what I mean), not the actual frame.

Worked out a lot cheaper than replacing the whole windows. Changed them over with help from my dad. Not easy, but worth the saving.
Lots of local companies advertise a "replace your faulty double-glazed units" service. Local papers, free sheets, phone a local company direct...
If there is condensation inside the "sealed" unit....you'll need to replace.
Look in Yellow Pages under Double Glazing Repair. You'll find someone who will replace just the panes.
I agree with the others. Once the spacer seal has leaked, the efficiency goes way down.

For replacement glazing, take the opportunity to go for "Low -E" glass (low emissivity)........... also ask for "argon-filled" units.
Normally, if it is just condensation within the window, it is only necessary to replace the glass and possibly the seals around the glass; without having to have new frames.

At this stage, I would do as has been suggested by bookbinder and get a few quotes from small local firms. Avoid the Nationally advertised firms who are unlikely to do any better job than the 'little man' who will be a lot cheaper and will want your recommendation locally.
If you choose Low-E glass make sure it will match surrounding windows, as it can look different from some glass if viewed from certain angles.
