I use a PC during the day and the desk surface has taken a bit if a battering. The surface is now worn away, discoloured or little claws have done some damage.
I want to put something on it like sticky-back plastic. I was speaking to my brother and he mentioned something that will work and which would be idiot-proof to fix.
Does anyone know what I should be looking for before I toddle off to eBay?
formica- is a hard surface stuff you got on tables /bar counters etc
fablon is a flexible stuff- I thot that was what wolf meant ^ , alba(x)---on re reading^-you may be right tho---
we shall await wolf's response
If you decide to go for Fablon then I would use the Fablon Plus version of it. You can buy it in B & Q or similar and it is very strong. Put it where you want it to go and just peel an inch or so at a time and smooth it out. Trying to do too big an area will only make a mess of it as once it's on it's hard to remove.
Taking all your helpful advice into account I bought this stuff http://tinyurl.com/peowyjh I was going to jst get a plain coloured one but I am going to make a mess and it might not be so obvious in blue slodge design.
When it arrives I will put it beside the carpet tiles, wallpaper and adhesive I bought a few months back and then lost interest in my task.
