what does the manufacturer recommend?
A light oil, Miele make one that I use for my stainless fridge and freezer.
After cleaning general cooking grime off ours, I polish mine with baby oil.
Baby oil is fantastic. My oven and hob come up a treat, it removes all the finger marks.
You have my sympathy - it's likely to show every fingerprint. Meantime, from the horses mouth...

Whatever you use avoid abrasive cleaners like Cif.

Apart from avoiding abrasives I don't give my SS any special care. I do have SS polish but it is tedious enough cleaning my cooker.......I'm really not precious enough to be arsed polishing it too!!!

Crikey , it's like having a new baby to care for .

Her indoors , will insist on silver -and now stainless steel kitchen appliances .

Very versatile , that baby oil , isn't it ? :-)

thanks
The steam cleaner ads on the ad channels seem to claim a good result. No idea if true though.
Baby Oil,Everytime,cheap and works brilliantly.
Make sure you dry it thoroughly after cleaning. Water stains stainless steel.
