Paint on Patio

My 6 year old git of a son has spilt a whole pot of fence paint on my patio. I managed to wash away most of it but as he neglected to tell me he had done it for 15 mins it started to dry. I now have a green stained patio. Does anyone know of any cleaner or chemical that will get rid of this stain as I want to put my house on the market soon. Ta

Has anyone got a power washer you can borrow? If it's quite a new spill, that should blast it off. My husband did the same with oil from a motorbike on my patio (bless him) and it came off, although it only covered a small area rather than the large area that a tin of paint would more than likely cover!

 

If that doesn't work on its own, you could scrub a bleach solution in first, leave it to soak for 10 minutes or so and then power wash it off, but any plants/grass it hits will probably be damaged, plus any painted wood would be speckled.

Your post made me laugh, not because it's funny what happened, but your first sentance anyway, then the thought of your poor little 6-year old stood outside for 15 minutes trying to think of a way to break it to you: all the thoughts running round his head, the way he would have been pacing and fidgeting, etc. Bless him. He might not have owned up as soon as would have been appreciated, but at least he didn't deny it altogether. I've got teenagers who swear none of my cups, plates or cutlery is in their bedrooms (because they're not allowed food upstairs, never have been), yet whenever I walk into their rooms, I find more crockery and cutlery than I have anywhere in my kitchen. If I go with them and show them the items in their rooms, they just tell me they didn't know it was there, had forgotten about it, that it's not their fault, etc.

Kids eh! I would say that a pressure washer would jet the paint away in no time. Good luck.

Thank you for your answers , I have tried the jet wash thing but to no avail, but will have a go at the bleach solution.  Ta

I take it it's gloss paint? If so, you're going to need something like a lot of white sprit or thinners. Will prob take ages - use a wire brush too and it should come out eventually.
