What Bad Luck

Living room and everything else is finished, and looks awesome. However, we wake up this morning to a drip in the ceiling, bang in middle of living room!!! i could have cried, it seems its not massive, but still enough to make me disheartened as living room is now new, and if ceiling comes down, which i hope will not, then that would mean all the hard work we have put in has gone to waste.
We had a tap installed on Wednesday, and we seen the leak in the pipe. Plumber has stopped it, but still dripping water out of ceiling. Is this because the water accumulated over time, and the water should drip away without causing further damage? Oh i do hope it doesn't get worse, we have checked for any further leaks, and none were found, so the tap is the only cause.

Then my ceiling leaks...what next?? It seems someone is cursing us.
Oh i hope ceiling is ok, that is my main worry. I look like i'm about to cry. I do feel that its dripping more than it did this morning, so i am thinking it must have gathered all night and now seeping through.......the leak has been repaired and we see no other cause. The water is dripping through the plaster board joint. Ceiling was repaired by insurance company 5 years ago, so they must have done a good job, which means we may just get away with it.
Awww, can you get someone to come look at it? I had a wet patch then dripping ceiling (water tank in the loft) and by the time a hole was poked through it a lot of the ceiling came down as well so do be careful, my nice neighbour who came to help me said I was really lucky as it was dangerous (more to do with how precariously the water tank had been perched etc... though).
That said, there had been a leak down to an old ground floor flat I lived in and upstairs had apparently had water running down their walls and nothing was done until it blew my electrics! Nothing fell down then.
Hope you get it sorted!

Just be careful it's dripping away from any ceiling light fittings, phleb.... we had this happen when our upstairs bathroom was installed, the water from a poor joint came through the light fitting in the bedroom below, which was very risky. The plumbers concerned paid for all the rectification work, including repainting the bedroom ceiling.
