Can't Get Back On My Watch

have replaced my watch battery but getting back back on is proving difficult. I have done this before with other watches without a problem. Do I need a special clamp? ta

Is there a rubber o-ring between the back and the case?

Also, make sure that the indent, if there is one, on the back is aligned with the stem.

It's a Leica watch and there is an O ring. ta

Make sure that the ring is not twisted and that it is firmly in place, usually on the back. Applying a SMALL smear of Vaseline on it might help. Place the watch face down on a firm but not scratching surface, and apply lots of pressure with your thumbs. Trial and error comes into play here:)

Also, if pressing directly onto the top of the back doesn't work, try on one side of it and work towards the other side...Trial and error.
