Hi belrec, just picked up your answer.
Last year, we bought these bait stations, but they wouldn't go in them, they are too smart. We also tried the boiling water, and bleach, then powders.
We have now been told, whatever you do, don't kill them, as the queen then produces thousands more to take their place.
We hate them.
Also, we couldn't find the nest, they were just everywhere, and I was asking Ratter, just in case they ever come back this year.
