Use For Old Vacuum Flask.

I use an old wide necked vacuum flask to clean my dish clothes etc - fill the vacuum with boiling water add a little detergent (and I add some lemon juice cos I like the smell) and leave overnight - saves boiling them - you'd be surprised at the colour of the water!!!!

I throw mine in the washing machine on hot along with teatowels and so on.

as woof, and sterilise when damp in microwave (must be 100% cotton!)

I guess you could pop a couple of eggs in it before you go to bed, and the next morning....hey presto! Boiled eggs for breakfast. Perhaps.

Now let's not get ahead of ourselves Mrs Chappie - but I do make my porridge in a vacuum flask as I loath washing a porridge pan (a different flask btw!)

Okay, what about a bit of pasta then.

Pop the pasta into the flask in the morning, add boiling water, and voila! At teatime your pasta is ready to eat. :o)

put (in my case) 4 tablespoons of oats into flask - boil milk to almost boiling point in microwave (suppose water would work the same) - add to oats and stir well, close up - walk to local shop, collect papers, chat to locals, return home plus or minus 45 minutes later, make coffee, open newspaper on crossword page then decant breakfast into bowl and add whatever. It works for me.

Can't see why that wouldn't work Mrs Chappie although I think it unlikely we are going to get a full Sunday roast out of the vacuum flask not matter how hard we try.:-)

Lol....I make porridge in the microwave in a little plastic saucepan .It takes four minutes .I even eat it out of said saucepan :)

Or even better....as it's a wide-necked flask, just eat it straight from the flask and save on the washing up. :o)

Oops, just thought of another....when you're having guests round for nibbles - impress 'em with your fancy bread-stick holder. Or twiglets if you're not posh.

For this purpose, you will of course need to discard the flask top.
